This project consists of a series of photographs made in one year from March 14, 2003 to March 14, 2004. Just about a decade ago, Bibiana and her daughter Maya Matheis undertook a project with a commitment to take photos every day for a year, to provide a full documentary of that time-period as photographic essays of black & white and sepia images, chronicling a year in time. The photos were printed and organized, then tucked away in five tin boxes for a decade. Essentially, they were put into a safe “vault” and locked away.
